O'hara Irish Pale Ale

O'hara Irish Pale Ale (Carlow, Iiri). pdl 0,33 l. alc 5,2 %vol. Liigimääratlus: APA Ratebeeri hinnang on 68 ja beeradvocate oma 80 punkti.

Tootjainfo: "A Contemporary style IPA with an Irish twist. Combining the balance of European IPAs with the generous dry hopping of American pale ales (APAs), this beer is everything an IPA should be and more.

Zesty and refreshingly bitter, the finish is long. With a copper tone body topped with a lightly carbonated head, the dry hopping brings an intense aroma and lasting array of fruit and floral notes.

While the origins of the IPA style might be a cause for argument, there is no argument about magnificent flavours and aromas to be found in  our Irish Pale Ale (IPA).

The hops steal the show in our take of an Indian Pale Ale. An astutely chosen combination of malts and wheat produce a full body and generous mouth feel. The late kettle hop additions including the Amarillo hop form the basis for the vibrant and zesty aromas found thereafter. A final dry hopping stage post boil really cranks up the level of fruity hop aromas that are enjoyed by all lovers of the IPA style."

Lihtne väike pudel, heleroheline silt kannab keldi mustreid. Valge vaht täidab pool klaasi, muutudes kiirelt suuremulliseks ning kadudes kirmeks. Õlle värvus - kirkalt kuldne. Aroom on värske, hapukas ning linnaseline.

Esmamekk mõjub kergelt ja intensiivselt mõrkjalt. Keskmaitses asub domineerima aroomist tuttav värske hapukus, mis tuleneb ilmselt nisu kasutamisest, kuid omandab siin mingi kummalise taimemahlase erksuse. Lõppmaitse taandub lihtsamaks, linnaseliseks ja kargeks. Järelmekk jääb mõnusa värske ja karge mälestusena keelepärale, õhkudes vähese vürtsikusega veel päris pikalt.
Kerge kehaga, nõrgalt karboniseerunud paletiga, mõrkjas-hapukas-vürtsika buketiga üsnagi mõnus rüübe. Sobilik siiski pigem lauaõlleks kui iseseisvaks maitseelamuseks, ploomi-kana pajaroa juurde aga sobiks vägagi mõnusalt.
